You will never spend more time doing anything than thinking, so think about what you are thinking.

Your body’s health is directly related to your mind’s health, so a healthy mind is the key to a healthy body. When your mind is prospering in God’s Word regarding health, your body is the beneficiary.

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].” 3 John 2 (Amplified)

The human mind is so powerful that it influences your physical body by what’s allowed to be processed through it. This is why we are told to renew the way we think, by meditating in God’s Word (Romans 12:2). A complete mind reconstruction regarding the way we think about health is necessary before we can experience it. Renewing the mind fills you with hopes, dreams, and desires of a better life than you now experience. When you hope for something, the only place it exists is in your mind, until it manifests by your faith giving it substance.

Faith converts dreams to reality, a process that takes place in the renewed mind.

Prayer is vitally important, but so are your thoughts. Ephesians gives amazing insight into how God responds to our thoughts. It says,

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20.

You will never spend more time praying than thinking, and your prayer life will be an extension of your thought life.

God not only answers our prayers, but our thoughts also. Because the battle is in the mind, we have to pay close attention to our thought life, if we want our prayers answered regarding healing. You cannot be praying for your healing if you are thinking it might not happen. Cast down any thoughts contrary to your healing, and replace them with God’s Word telling you that you are healed (2 Corinthians 10:5). The reality of healing is first in the mind, then in the body.

When your mind is convinced you are healed, your body will prepare itself for that reality.

The residing Holy Spirit will act on the word of God hidden in your heart and confessed with your mouth, to bring into manifestation healing (Psalm 107:20, 119:11). At creation the Holy Spirit was ‘hovering’ until God spoke, then creation came into existence. The same principle applies to healing. You have the responsibility to speak healing scriptures over yourself, and image the Holy Spirit hovering over God's Word to bring into manifestation your healing.

  • Ask God to forgive you for thoughts you have allowed to occupy your mind that is contrary to His Word, regarding your health. Cast down and bring captive to Christ every thought that comes into your mind of you being sick (2 Corinthians 10:5).
  • Ask the Lord to shine His light on any areas in your life that may have given entrance to sickness to enter, and close the door. Psalm 119:130 says, "The entrance of Your words gives light."

Worship is such a towering theme in the Bible, and there is strong evidence throughout scripture that worship is a powerful environment to receive healing, and maintain good health. God created you to worship, and it’s the one thing that He requires from you above all else.

It's not an overstatement to say that the Christian life is meaningless without worship, and your success and health is largely dependent on the lifestyle practice of it. By understanding the connection between worship and healing, your relationship with God will deepen, and you will enjoy a renewed sense of trust in Him as your Healer.
